Turn off the highway and head into the hills with Shelley’s Murder Boys – a band that brings a new verve to the old timey music of the Appalachians. With a haunting fiddle, a rollicking guitar, and a twanging banjo, Shelley and the boys will take you on a journey to their porch in the backwoods. In the band’s own words: “We are just a simple devil-lovin family that play old-time, bluegrass and folk tunes about the hills and rivers we’ve roamed, the things we’ve seen and the stories we’ve been told.” Featuring Shelley Eves, Jimmy Murray and Joe Glover, the band has appeared at several folk festivals and have supported many bands, such as The Backsliders.
Lolo Lovina (‘Red Beer’) is an intoxicating brew infused with Unza, Swing and Balkan Gypsy beats. Fronted by Australian born Hungarian Romani- Gypsy singer Sarah Bedak, the band was described by Brian Eno as ‘the future of music’. Their music reflects the cosmopolitan identity of an artist, who grew up with three native tongues and cultures and the charming and passionate performance of their charismatic singer makes each concert a unique experience. Lolo Lovina have played at the Opera House, Guca Festival Serbia, in New Caledonia, Macau, across East & West Europe and have just been invited to do an offical showcase at SXSW 2018 in Austin Texas; but before they do that they will perform at the 2018 edition of Sunset Sessions.
